This project focused on the creation of an identity and package design for a fictional client called Queen Bee Hot Sauce including a system of different hot sauces ranging from a low heat level to a high heat level. The design of this hot sauce was done to represent the personality of the brand, which is punk, unapologetic, and gritty. I visualized this personality through choices in color, typography, and the creation of a mascot to live alongside this system in a cohesive way.
Process
An aspect of this project I had to keep in mind was differentiating the different heat levels. I already knew that I wanted to create a mascot to represent this brand, so I figured doing something with the mascot for each heat level would work. Because of that I decided to make the mascot seem progressively more affected by the spice of the heat level. To better differentiate each level, I also decided to play around with different color schemes as well.
